The picture above shows how I have interpreted the verses of Exodus Chapter 25 verses 31 to 40.
One day soon I hope to get around to explaining why I made it to look like this.

Index Temple Mount Archaeology
And You shall make a lampstand of pure gold: of beaten work shall the lampstand be made; its shaft, and its branches, its bowls, its knobs and its flowers shall be of the same.

And six branches shall come out from the sides of it: three branches of the lampstand out of the one side, and three branches of the lampstand out of the second side.

Three bowls made like almonds with a knob and a flower in one branch: and three bowls made like almonds in the second branch, with a knob and a flower; so in the six branches which come out of the lampstand.

And in the lampstand shall be four bowls made like almonds, with their knobs and their flowers.

And there shall be a knob under two branches of the same, and a knob under two branches of the sames, and a knob under two brancehes of the same, according to the six branches that come out of the lampstand.

Their knobs and their branches shall be of the same: it shall all be one beaten work of pure gold.

And you shall make the seven lamps: and they shall light the lamps, that they may cast light in front of it.

And the tongs and the snuffdishes shall be of pure gold. Of a talent of gold shall he make it with all these vessels.

And see that you make them according to the pattern that was shown to you on the Mount.

Exodus 25:31-40

What is it?

For Christians and Jews, the Tabernacle Menorah is a holy symbol, representing both the State of Israel and the Messiah Jesus (or Yeshua Ha Moshiach in Hebrew). It was a beautiful ornamental lampstand, made from pure gold. In the picture above, I have drawn a menorah using the directions in Exodus 25.

Where is it?

The original Menorah was placed to shine in the outer room of the Tabernacle, so that the priests, Aaron and his sons could see as it was a dark heavily curtained room. It probably no longer exists. the Tabernacle and all its furniture, including the Ark of the Covenant, disappeared around the time of the destruction of Solomon's Temple.

When?

It was created during the time of the Exodus. When Moses ascended Mount Sinai, he received the Ten Commandments from God,--along with a lot of other laws,--and instructions to build a portable temple called the Tabernacle.

Why?

God wanted the people of Israel to worship Him, not the old Egyptian gods, and He wanted them to worship in a place He had specially designed for them. He gave Moses the pattern for this Tabernacle and its furniture. The Tabernacle that was built by the Israelite craftsman is a copy of the Tabernacle in Heaven.

How?

The Menorah was made from a sheet of pure gold, which weighed a talent, or 60 kilograms in modern terms. The sheet of metal was wrapped over a wooden mold and beaten into shape. All the ornaments in the branches were beaten from the sheet of gold; and the excess gold was cut away and used to make the tongs and the snuff dishes.
